Tarentaise cattle have an international reputation as a superior mother cow. Less widely known is their proven ability to produce consistently high yielding carcass' that grade Choice or Hi-select with the moderate size that 'fits the box'.

In all breeds of cattle the ability to marble is blood line specific, and after more than 20 years of selective breeding on this continent, the marbling trait is readily available in Tarentaise, yet the high yield trait has been maintained.

Here's what a few Feedlots have said about Tarentaise:

"Tarentaise are comparable with the average of the cattle we feed in gain and efficiency of gain, and better than average in carcass yield characteristics. They are definitely the better end of the cattle in our feedlot."
--Alan Janzen, Circle Five Feedlots (14,000 hd)

"In our operation, when figuring projections and looking at close-outs, we can say a Tarentaise cross is what we're looking for when buying and feeding cattle in today's industry."
--Dan Webster, Webster Feedlots, Inc., Greely, CO (20,000 hd)
